Claire Armitage

I create textiles and prints to capture a sense of place and invite an immersion into the wild beauty of West Cornwall's landscape, flora and fauna; with its hidden woodlands, sweeping curves of moorland and coastlines where the Atlantic Ocean meets the skies. Situated inland from the coast, I work surrounded by meadows and woodlands. i gain a deep sense of place by revisiting the same locations to draw and paint from direct observation, exploring the colours and fauna as they change with the seasons and time of day. Back in my studio i create detailed botanical studies of the plants I've collected. Fox Under The Moon

Hello! I'm Stacey, the face behind Fox Under The Moon... My 'Fox Under The Moon' artwork series is for all ages. It is inspired by the simplicity of everyday life, and the complicated emotions that go with it. Through my artwork you will meet an anxious, but inquisitive fox and the wise old moon. I wanted to put some hope and positivity out into the world, and so I began sharing my whimsical illustrations and uplifting messages on social...

Potting in Penryn

Lisa Rennocks of Potting in Penryn produces stoneware ceramics in her garden studio in the historic town of Penryn, Cornwall. Most of Lisa's work is thrown on the wheel using locally processed clay from St Agnes. Her work is both tactile and functional with a weathered aesthetic inspired by Cornwall's industrial coastal landscape. Each pot is simple in form but unique in how the glazes combine to generate its own identity. Lisa produces a wide range of pots for everyday living as well as more sculptural pieces. Her deigns blend seamlessly with contemporary and traditional interiors.

Our studio is located in a barn at home, we share our barn with several sparrow families who return to nest every year.  We are witness to the life of flora and fauna in the meadows and woodland here, much of our work is inspired from stories of home. I (Cara) journal the seasons of land and sea here in Cornwall and through this process I begin the designs.  Our slow made pieces are often made from local St. Agnes stoneware clay, many of the brush-heads I use I make from natural...
