Dawn Dance grew up in the rugged South West peninsular of Cornwall. She trained at Falmouth School of Art followed by a Fashion and Textiles degree at Kingston upon Thames. She has taught a wide range of art and design based courses in Further and Secondary education alongside running her own businesses as a decorative artist, antiques restorer and gilder. Dawn returned to her childhood home of Cornwall in 2016 and in 2019 gave up teaching to concentrate on painting the landscape she knows so well. Our Twenty Minute Candles were born during the lockdown when we put together a small box of beeswax candles and handwritten affirmation cards for a close friend who was struggling. The thoughtful gift helped her unwind and regain her sense of well-being—and she absolutely loved it! Just six months later, we were honored to become finalists in The Giftware Association’s ‘Gift of the Year’ awards.

Moondial20 , black ink drawings of Cornwall by Debora Carter. I have always loved old books with black and white illustrations. Deceptively simple yet capable of conveying so much atmosphere and information in a glance. Drawing views of Cornwall from its harbours to its ancient standing stones in black ink has become my way of trying to capture its beauty and history in the same way. Some are accurate and others more magical with a sky full of the Moon and stars. Porthleven has been my home for some years and is a favourite to draw due to its interesting buildings and busy harbour. My prints are produced to gallery standard with conservation mounts and backs on Fine Art Paper....
I am a jewellery designer/maker and have been making jewellery for over 20 years based in Cornwall.
I live in St. Ives and work in my home studio that overlooks the sea. I use various precious metals and semi-precious stones, and the colours reflect the views i see every day.
I'm originally from Cornwall and started studying fashion design at Falmouth and then Southampton. After working in this area for some time my love and interest in jewellery grew and this was the direction that evolved once i eventually moved back to Cornwall.
