Formed from a salty Cornish lifestyle. Olive May created in 2016 is a collection of unique and minimal jewellery inspired by the beauty of the Cornish coast. I had a lot of time on my hands after having a life changing accident and started designing necklaces. This is when Olive May was founded. My whole life I have lived 5 minutes from the beach and have always loved the ocean. Olive May has given me the freedom and creativity that I lost. Elly incorporates her designs with found ephemera such as 1950’s books, Victorian newspapers and delicate home-made papers. Amada Rawlins

Amanda Rawlins's work is inspired by the landscape around her home, in the far West of Cornwall, where the ancient wild moor land is peppered with sacred sites, hut circles and old mine workings. Amanda also draws on her experiences of living in Glastonbury –  a powerful place that she says has charged her creative energy.
